Members, staffers pack meals for global hungry
About 100 people including members of Congress joined with Kraft Heinz officials on Tuesday to pack more than 7,500 meals to be distributed through Rise Against Hunger, an international hunger relief organization whose purpose is to deliver food and aid to the world’s most vulnerable populations.
“Together, we can end global hunger,” said Kraft Heinz CEO Bernardo Hees, who has pledged to donate 1 billion nutritious meals to people in need by 2021.
The Kraft Heinz Micronutrient Campaign also sponsors the development and distribution of powders that deliver essential vitamins, minerals and iron when stirred or mixed into children’s foods.
